Product Reviews

H3 Wading Boot (felt) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked Well the First Time Out Since purchase, I have used these over a two-day period on one fishing trip. They are much better than using a pair of conventional hiking boots. Especially the felt soles. Traction in a stream is phenomenal. No slipping! I ordered one size larger than normal, and they are just a tad loose. Which is so much better than being too tight. The drain holes really help the water exit the boots when you step out of the stream, too. Overall, these boots are a great investment and worth the price for convenience and the improved ability to wade with confidence. Wading is no longer a chore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value After shopping around online I settled on Hodgeman wading boots after talking to a freind of mine who spends about thirty to fourth days a year on the water that he rarely gets more than two years out of a pair of wade boots, the Hodgemans were a great value compared to other boots on the market. I've worn mine on six outings including two days of all day fishing very comfortable. I wear a size 10 shoe and with the neoprene socks they fit just right. I fish a lot of granite rivers here in the sierras and the felt soles are a must have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Absolute failure times by three I bought myself a pair in 2018 which the felt came loose after 12 trips , the local distributor in South Africa supplied a replacement pair and less than a year later and less than 15 trips the boots failed again. My son's pair have also had the felt soles come loose, these have also been returned. Now the agency does not keep replacement stock. The place where the picture was on day 2 of a five day trip . The fishing guides on the specific river (kalahari outventures) that do approximately 8 months of guiding for this stretch of river confirm that the most common boot to give issues is your H3 boot.So that is three sets of boots that have failed in less than two years

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight- Sure Grip- Easy On/Off I bought the boots about a month ago and have the opportunity to use them stream wading five days- SO far I am totally satisfied with the boot- they are stable on the river bottom- on a scale from 1-10 I would give the felt a non-slip rating of 9.1- lightweight/quick drying/ The H# Wading Boot looks and feels well constructed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! Comfortable! I purchased a pair of these for my daughter a few weeks ago and was so impressed with the comfort, quality and workmanship that I bought a pair for myself this week. I had previously tried on two major name-brand wading shoes and they were like wearing army boots - no padding. These are soft inside and wrap around your feet nicely. I am moving up from a pair of boots that didn't have solid protection of my toes and these are a welcome step forward. I will mention: Sizing is so important. I would recommend in both the case of men's and women's boots to move up a size. If you take a 9 shoe, buy the 10. Your waders will take up space and if you want to add heavy socks, you'll have room. There's nothing worse than having your toes being banged up. Finally, the shoe eyelets are heavy-duty and easy to use. Buy these boots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent so far Only a couple of times out but find they are of solid construction so far, good support, and very good grip. Longevity is yet to be seen, but very happy so far. Bought a size up as others have recommended, but need neoprene socks to take up the extra room. Guess it's better too large than too small.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice toe box. The construction seems durable, our clients put a lot of days in our wading boots. Often they will go 10 - 12 days of continuous use without drying out. So far they seem to be holding up great, time will tell

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inaccurate sizing advice I was advised to select one size up from my regular size. Wrong. Hodgman did not provide paid return shipping label so I had to eat about $15.
